Overview

  • Exceptionally fast turnaround time
  • High community impact
  • Multiple formats

Challenge

Serial entrepreneur and philanthropist Jamie Waller set out to publish The Dyslexic Edge: Unleash the Power of Thinking Differently with Whitefox. The goal was ambitious: the book needed to be released ahead of two key events –Richard Branson’s Necker Island summit and Dyslexia Awareness Week 2024 (7–13 October). Jamie wanted to ensure that this vital project not only reached audiences in time but also had a tangible impact on the dyslexic community. With a tight deadline, a limited print run, and a target audience ranging from corporate leaders and educators to anyone interested in self-improvement and unlocking dyslexic thinking, it was essential that the book was marketed efficiently and landed with maximum visibility. Jamie also planned to offer 1,000 signed copies to London state secondary schools to support students and teachers, aligning perfectly with Dyslexia Awareness Week’s mission.

Execution

Whitefox worked closely with Jamie Waller to ensure the project’s success. The team designed a bespoke publishing and distribution plan that could meet the strict deadlines while ensuring high quality and wide reach. The editorial process was expedited, but without compromising the book’s integrity. The partnership also facilitated the release across multiple formats – trade paperback, eBook and audiobook – allowing it to reach readers through their preferred platforms.

Results/Outcome

The Dyslexic Edge was successfully launched on 12 September 2024, just ahead of Dyslexia Awareness Week and other important industry events. Jamie’s initiative to offer free signed copies to schools drew significant attention, reinforcing the book’s educational mission. Waller’s participation during Dyslexia Awareness Week helped to further raise the profile of the book. This strategic approach ensured that The Dyslexic Edge became not just a book but a movement, promoting the strengths of dyslexia, a critical tool for educators, entrepreneurs, parents and anyone interested in self-improvement and unlocking dyslexic thinking.
