We collaborated with Jeff Mostyn to publish his remarkable story of transformation, triumph and unwavering belief as Chairman of AFC Bournemouth. During Mostyn’s sixteen-year tenure he transformed AFC Bournemouth from a club facing extinction into a Premier League force, and his story – of family, community and unwavering belief – resonates well beyond football.

An inspirational and much-loved voice within the industry, his memoir would form a key part of both Jeff and the club’s legacy, supporting his speaking activities and extensive charity work.

Jeff had secured a foreword by ex-Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe as well as contributions from the likes of Gareth Southgate, Steve Parrish, Matt Ritchie, Calum Wilson and Richard Scudamore. He was already working closely with his book manager, Ed Bowers, but the book required additional editorial support, which we provided.

In close collaboration with Jeff, we created a beautiful jacketed hardback edition of The Chairman: The Man Who Saved AFC Bournemouth with three colour plate sections featuring photographs from his illustrious career. Set against the cherry red of Bournemouth’s home colours and the backdrop of the Vitality Stadium, the cover design is striking – a fitting image for a memoir that balances boardroom authority with personal warmth. 

To maximise availability, we coordinated distribution through all trade channels, resulting in strong sales and an early reprint. To extend the book’s life after the initial launch period, the format was converted to a POD paperback format at a later date, allowing Jeff to order his own copies easily for events.
