A multimedia reimagining of a classic
Overview
- A collaborative reimagining of a classic
- Bridging literature, music and art
- Storytelling through innovative multimedia
Challenge
Rachel Fuller was inspired by Hermann Hesse’s novel Siddhartha and, in partnership with Universal Music, wanted to produce the ultimate creative masterpiece with a fresh approach for modern audiences. Rachel Fuller, Pete Townshend, Emilia Wharfe and a diverse team of artists aimed to transform the classic 1922 spiritual journey into a contemporary multimedia experience that could connect with new generations.
Approach
Whitefox was instrumental in bringing The Seeker to life, assembling a talented creative team made up of illustrators and professional designers to transform Rachel’s innovative concept into a luxurious 128-page illustrated coffee table book. This beautifully designed book, part of Rachel’s wider multimedia experience, became the foundation for a deluxe edition package, incorporating a double vinyl LP that vividly retells The Seeker. Together, the book and music create a captivating artistic experience, seamlessly blending storytelling, music and visual art.
Outcomes
The project launch was celebrated with a stunning concert at Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, in November 2024, featuring Pete Townshend, Alfie Boe, Elton John and an ensemble of international artists. With performances by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the Chamber Choir of London, the project turned a century-old novel that has sold over 100 million copies into a contemporary cultural experience, bridging literature, music and visual storytelling.
